Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu (1,350 m)


Welcome to Nepal, the land of the Himalayas. Upon your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, a representative from Trekking Nepal Pvt. Ltd. will warmly welcome you and transfer you to your hotel. Depending on your arrival time, you may relax after your journey or take a stroll through the lively streets of Thamel, Kathmandu’s famous tourist district. In the evening, you will receive a briefing about your upcoming adventure, one of the most spectacular trekking journeys in the Himalayas.

Day 2: Kathmandu Sightseeing & Trek Preparation (1,350 m)


Today is dedicated to discovering the cultural treasures of Kathmandu Valley. Accompanied by your guide, visit some of Nepal's most sacred UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Explore the magnificent Boudhanath Stupa, one of the largest Buddhist stupas in the world, where pilgrims circle the monument while spinning prayer wheels. Continue to Pashupatinath Temple, Nepal’s most important Hindu temple located on the banks of the sacred Bagmati River. Later, visit the hilltop stupa of Swayambhunath, also known as the Monkey Temple, offering panoramic views over Kathmandu Valley.

In the afternoon, meet your trekking guide for a detailed briefing and equipment check. Any missing trekking gear can be rented or purchased in Kathmandu before the journey begins.

Day 3: Kathmandu (1,350 m) – Besi Sahar (760 m) – Dharapani (1,960 m)


Your Himalayan journey begins with a scenic drive from Kathmandu towards the Marsyangdi Valley. The road follows the Trishuli and Marsyangdi rivers, passing through green hills, terraced fields, waterfalls, and traditional villages. Along the way, you will enjoy the first views of the Annapurna and Manaslu ranges rising in the distance.

After reaching Besi Sahar, continue by jeep on a rough mountain road to Dharapani. The landscape becomes more dramatic as you enter the Annapurna region, with deep valleys and beautiful river gorges. Dharapani is a peaceful mountain village and a key gateway to the Annapurna Circuit.

Day 4: Dharapani (1,960 m) – Koto (2,600 m)


After breakfast, start your trek through beautiful pine and fir forests, crossing traditional villages and terraced fields. The trail offers stunning views of both the Annapurna and Manaslu mountain ranges, making the walk very enjoyable and scenic.

As you move closer to Koto, the gateway to the restricted Nar Phu Valley, the surroundings become quieter and more remote. Koto is a small but important village located under high cliffs and snowy peaks, marking the beginning of your journey into one of Nepal’s most untouched regions.

Day 5: Koto (2,600 m) – Meta (3,560 m)


Today you officially enter the mysterious Nar Phu Valley, one of Nepal’s best-preserved hidden Himalayan regions. After passing the checkpoint, follow the Nar Phu Khola through a dramatic canyon carved deep into the mountains. The trail winds along rocky paths, crosses wooden bridges, and traverses sections cut directly into cliff faces.

The scenery becomes increasingly spectacular as snow-capped peaks rise above narrow gorges and dense pine forests. Keep your eyes open for blue sheep, Himalayan griffons, and other wildlife often seen in this untouched environment.

After a long ascent, reach the beautiful village of Meta, perched on a high plateau surrounded by magnificent Himalayan landscapes. The panoramic views from Meta are among the finest of the entire trek.

Today's trek leads deeper into the heart of the hidden valley. Wake up to stunning views of Lamjung Himal and the rugged landscapes of the northern Annapurna region. The trail passes ancient settlements such as Chyakhu and Kyang, where centuries-old chortens, prayer walls, and abandoned fortifications reveal the region’s rich history.

As you approach Phu, the landscape becomes increasingly Tibetan in character. Stone houses, yak pastures, colorful prayer flags, and ancient monasteries create an atmosphere unlike anywhere else in Nepal.

Arriving in Phu Village feels like stepping back in time. Isolated for centuries, this remarkable settlement remains one of the most authentic Himalayan villages in the country.

Day 7: Acclimatization Day at Phu Village (4,080 m)


A proper acclimatization day is essential before venturing higher into the Himalayas. Today offers the perfect opportunity to immerse yourself in the unique culture and stunning landscapes of Phu, one of Nepal’s most remote and authentic Himalayan villages. Surrounded by rugged peaks, ancient stone houses, and colorful prayer flags, Phu feels like a hidden kingdom untouched by time.

You may visit the historic Tashi Lhakhang Monastery, one of the oldest and most important monasteries in the region, believed to have been blessed by the renowned Tibetan master Karmapa Rinpoche. For those wishing to stretch their legs and improve acclimatization, an optional hike leads to Himlung Himal Base Camp or a spectacular viewpoint overlooking the entire Phu Valley. Along the way, there are excellent chances to spot blue sheep, Himalayan griffons, ibex, and other wildlife inhabiting this pristine mountain environment.

Day 8: Phu Village (4,080 m) – Nar Phedi (3,500 m)


After breakfast, leave behind the remarkable village of Phu and begin your journey back down the valley. The trail retraces part of the route through dramatic canyons, ancient chortens, and wide alpine landscapes. Although descending, the scenery appears completely different when viewed from the opposite direction.

Arriving at Nar Phedi Monastery is a special experience. Nestled beside a river beneath towering cliffs, this peaceful monastery offers a unique overnight stay in a truly spiritual setting. The evening atmosphere, accompanied by the sound of prayer chants and fluttering prayer flags, creates an unforgettable Himalayan memory.

Day 9: Nar Phedi (3,500 m) – Nar Village (4,170 m)


Begin the morning by observing or participating in the monastery's daily prayer ceremony. After breakfast, cross the suspension bridge and climb steadily toward Nar Village. The trail winds through beautiful alpine terrain with ever-expanding views of snow-capped peaks and remote valleys.

Nar is one of the most fascinating villages in the Himalayas. Compared to Phu, it is larger and more open, featuring traditional Tibetan-style stone houses, intricately carved prayer wheels, and ancient Buddhist monuments. Spend the afternoon exploring the narrow alleyways and interacting with local residents who continue to maintain their centuries-old traditions.

Day 10: Nar Village (4,170 m) – Kang La Pass (5,320 m) – Ngawal (3,665 m)


Today is one of the most challenging and rewarding days of the entire trek. Depart before sunrise and begin a gradual ascent toward the magnificent Kang La Pass. As the trail climbs higher, the landscapes become increasingly dramatic, with vast mountain panoramas unfolding around every corner.

Upon reaching Kang La Pass (5,320 m), you will be rewarded with one of the finest viewpoints in the Annapurna region. From the summit, enjoy breathtaking views of Annapurna II, Annapurna III, Gangapurna, Tilicho Peak, and the immense glaciers that dominate the landscape. After celebrating your achievement and enjoying a well-deserved break, descend steeply into the Annapurna Circuit and continue to the beautiful village of Ngawal.

Leaving Ngawal behind, follow the famous Annapurna Circuit Trail through the fertile Manang Valley. Surrounded by towering Himalayan peaks, the route passes traditional villages, ancient monasteries, and cultivated fields irrigated by glacial streams.

Stop in Manang, the largest settlement in the region, where you can enjoy a coffee, visit local bakeries, and observe daily mountain life. Continue westward to Khangsar, a traditional village located beneath the impressive peaks surrounding Tilicho Lake.

Today's route leaves the main Annapurna Circuit and heads toward one of Nepal's most spectacular natural wonders. Ascend gradually through alpine landscapes and rocky terrain to Shree Kharka before traversing beneath dramatic cliffs carved by centuries of erosion.

As you approach Tilicho Base Camp, magnificent views of Tilicho Peak and the surrounding mountains dominate the horizon. The remote location and rugged scenery make this one of the most memorable sections of the trek.

As you walk higher, the environment becomes more remote and dramatic. You gradually leave the lower valleys behind and enter the high Himalayan zone near the Thorong La region.

You reach Thorong Phedi or High Camp, the final stop before crossing the highest pass of the trek. Take a good rest and prepare for the big adventure tomorrow.

The climb is steady but demanding, rewarded with increasingly dramatic views of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges as you gain altitude.

At the summit (5,416 m), colorful prayer flags mark your achievement, offering one of the most unforgettable panoramic mountain views in Nepal. After taking time to celebrate this incredible moment, begin a long descent into the Mustang region.

Continue down to the sacred pilgrimage site of Muktinath, an important spiritual destination for both Hindus and Buddhists, before heading further to the peaceful village of Jharkot.

Day 17: Muktinath – Lubra Village – Jomsom (2,720 m)


Today you leave the sacred area of Muktinath and enter the beautiful landscapes of Lower Mustang. The trail descends through dry Himalayan terrain, open valleys, and traditional villages surrounded by dramatic mountain views.

On the way, visit Lubra Village, one of the last settlements where the ancient Bon religion is still practiced. This peaceful village offers a rare chance to see a very old Himalayan culture that existed before Buddhism.

Continue walking through the Kali Gandaki Valley, with stunning views of Dhaulagiri (8,167 m) and surrounding peaks. The landscape becomes more open and desert-like as you move down the valley.

Arrive in Jomsom, a windy mountain town and an important trading center of the Mustang region, located along the Kali Gandaki River.

Along the way, the landscape slowly changes from dry Himalayan desert to green hills, rivers, and villages, showing the beautiful diversity of Nepal.

Arrive in Pokhara, a peaceful lakeside city. In the afternoon, enjoy sightseeing around the city, including Phewa Lake, or simply relax after your long trekking journey.
