The Dobato Viewpoint & Mohare Danda Panorama Trek is one of the most beautiful hidden trekking routes in the Annapurna region of Nepal. Designed for travelers seeking spectacular mountain views away from the busy trekking trails, this journey combines traditional Gurung villages, rhododendron forests, natural hot springs, and some of the finest viewpoints in the Himalayas.

The highlight of the trek is the unforgettable sunrise from Muldai Viewpoint (3,637 m) above Dobato. From this exceptional vantage point, trekkers enjoy a breathtaking 360° panorama of Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, Machhapuchhre (Fishtail), Annapurna I, Dhaulagiri, Nilgiri, and many other Himalayan giants.

The adventure continues through the famous Ghorepani area before reaching the peaceful ridge of Mohare Danda, a lesser-known viewpoint offering stunning sunsets and sunrises over both the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges. Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu (1,350 m)


Welcome to Nepal! Upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, you will be greeted by a representative of Trekking Nepal Pvt. Ltd. and transferred to your hotel. Depending on your arrival time, you may relax after your journey or take a stroll through the vibrant streets of Thamel, Kathmandu’s famous tourist district filled with shops, restaurants, cafés, and cultural attractions. In the evening, you will receive a briefing about your upcoming trek.

Day 2: Kathmandu Sightseeing & Trek Preparation (1,350 m)


Today is dedicated to discovering some of Kathmandu Valley’s most important cultural and religious sites. Visit the sacred Pashupatinath Temple, one of the most significant Hindu pilgrimage sites in the world, and the magnificent Boudhanath Stupa, one of the largest Buddhist stupas in Asia. These UNESCO World Heritage Sites offer a fascinating introduction to Nepal's rich spiritual heritage. In the afternoon, finalize trek preparations, check equipment, and meet your guide.

Day 3: Kathmandu (1,350 m) – Pokhara (820 m)


Travel from Kathmandu to Pokhara, Nepal’s beautiful lakeside city and the gateway to the Annapurna region. The scenic drive follows winding mountain roads alongside rivers, terraced fields, and traditional villages. Along the way, enjoy views of rural Nepal and daily local life. Upon arrival in Pokhara, relax by Phewa Lake or explore the lively Lakeside area.

Day 4: Pokhara (820 m) – Phedi – Dhampus (1,650 m) – Tolka (1,790 m)


After breakfast, drive to Phedi, the starting point of your trek. Begin ascending through stone staircases and traditional villages to reach Dhampus, a beautiful Gurung settlement renowned for its spectacular mountain views. The trail continues through forests and terraced farmland to Pothana before gradually descending and traversing to the peaceful village of Tolka. Throughout the day, enjoy magnificent views of Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, and Machhapuchhre (Fishtail).

Day 5: Tolka (1,790 m) – Landruk – Jhinu Danda (1,780 m)


Today's trail descends gently through forests and terraced fields toward the beautiful Gurung village of Landruk. Enjoy authentic village life, traditional stone houses, and stunning mountain scenery. From Landruk, descend to the Modi Khola before climbing slightly to Jhinu Danda. This charming village is famous for its natural hot springs located beside the river. After reaching the lodge, you may walk down to the hot springs and relax in the warm mineral water surrounded by nature.

Day 6: Jhinu Danda (1,780 m) – Komrong Danda (2,220 m)


Cross the suspension bridge over the Modi Khola and begin a steady climb through dense rhododendron, bamboo, and oak forests. The trail gradually ascends through peaceful woodland with occasional openings offering views of Annapurna South and Machhapuchhre. Arrive at Komrong Danda, a beautiful ridge-top settlement offering spectacular views of the surrounding mountains and valleys.

Day 7: Komrong Danda (2,220 m) – Dobato (3,420 m)


Today marks one of the most rewarding sections of the trek. The trail leaves the busier Annapurna routes and enters a quieter wilderness area. Trek through pristine rhododendron forests, moss-covered trees, and peaceful mountain landscapes. As you gain altitude, the forests gradually open to reveal impressive views of the Annapurna range. Arrive at Dobato, a remote mountain settlement surrounded by breathtaking Himalayan scenery.

Day 8: Dobato (3,420 m) – Muldai Viewpoint (3,637 m) – Ghorepani (2,874 m)


Wake up before dawn for a short hike to Muldai Viewpoint, one of the finest panoramic viewpoints in the Annapurna region. As the sun rises, enjoy a spectacular 360-degree panorama featuring Annapurna I, Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, Machhapuchhre, Dhaulagiri, Nilgiri, Lamjung Himal, and countless surrounding peaks. After spending time at the viewpoint, return to Dobato for breakfast and continue trekking through forests and ridges to reach Ghorepani.

Day 9: Ghorepani (2,874 m) – Mohare Danda (3,300 m)


Leave the classic Annapurna trail behind and head toward the peaceful Mohare Danda Eco Community Trail. The route passes through beautiful forests and traditional Magar villages while offering constant views of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges. Mohare Danda is famous for its incredible sunset and sunrise panoramas and remains one of the region’s best-kept secrets.

Day 10: Mohare Danda (3,300 m) – Hile (1,430 m)


Begin the day with a breathtaking sunrise over the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri mountain ranges. After breakfast, descend through rhododendron forests, traditional Magar villages, and terraced farmlands. The scenery gradually changes from alpine landscapes to lush hillsides. Arrive in Hile, a peaceful village surrounded by beautiful countryside.

In the afternoon, explore Pokhara’s Lakeside area, take a boat ride on Phewa Lake, visit local cafés, or simply relax while enjoying the peaceful atmosphere and mountain views.
